TEMPO.CO, JakartaBears and wolves are usually competitors to each other in claiming their prey and territory. However, a nature photographer, Lassi Rautiainen, captured a male bear living in harmony with a female wolf.

"No-one can know exactly why or how the young wolf and bear became friends," said Lassi. "It seems to me that they feel safe being together," the 56-year-old photographer added.

Lassi captured the extraordinary moments when he was hunting for nature pictures inside the wilds of northern Finland jungle. Lassi observed this pair of unlikely friends enthusiastically. The predators even shared food.

The pictures shows how the young brown bear and grey wolf would sit down to eat together and even enjoy romantic views over the landscape for up to two-hours.

For ten days straight, Lassi spent his time sneaking up on the best friends when they keeping each other company, the bear had even taken the female wolf into his flocks. And the flock, surprisingly, seemed to accept her existence.
